Battle City is a 90s-style arcade tank shooter game in the true retro spirit. Many that grew up in the retro gaming eras would recall the thrills of defending the opposing waves of enemy force tanks while protecting the Castle you own with your tank. The Creature of simple controls and an addictive loop of gameplay has made it survive through generations.
Survive as many waves of enemy tanks as possible while your base is still being maintained. Move your tank with arrow keys and press the spacebar to put a shell. The game is played from top to bottom so you can plan and position your tank accordingly. As time progresses, you will find new attributes and better tanks to use, but the basic principle remains unchanged: move, shoot, and protect.
Battle City, as it were, Tank Force in Japan, was originally released by Namco in 1984, and its quick popularity would eventually help in changing its porting onto various platforms like the NES where it became household. The popularity of the game generated various sequels and remakes, with the newest update conjuring the classic into the modern era with great graphics and gameplay changes yet.
