What is Mancala?

How to Play

A Mancala game is set up with two rows of holes; each hole contains some snails (or seeds). A player will pick one of the holes on their side of the board and proceed to sow the snails one by one in the following holes one by one counter-clockwise. If, while landing the last snail, it finds an empty hole on your side, all the snails in the opposite hole belong to you. The player who collects the most snails or empties his/her side on the board first wins.

Tips & Tricks

Control the Centre: Try to control central holes as they enable more possibilities to capture your opponent's snails.
Plan Ahead: Think two or three moves ahead of time, and try to predict your opponent's next moves.
Avoid ending your turn in an empty hole: This will give your opponent an opportunity to capture your snails, so be conscious of what hole you end in.
